OCD or performing OCD like traits can have a significant impact on your life. To manage distressing thoughts, people with OCD create rituals that soothe and relieve the anxiety. This is a temporary state of relief as the rituals will need performing again and again in order to bring that same sense of comfort.

I can support you on your route to reducing those rituals or compulsions. We can look at the use of the CBT based method of Exposure + Response Prevention, as well as exploring methods to manage the anxiety that may come from reducing those rituals or compulsions.

You may be aware you have just started these rituals and want to stop them before they become a debilitating part of life or you may have lived with these compulsions for a while. We can make an assessment and go from there.
